Aggravated DWI Defense Attorney

Missouri imposes harsher penalties for DWI offenders based on certain factors. The most important of these are the number of prior convictions and involvement in a traffic accident that kills or injures someone. For example, a person with two prior convictions who is arrested for a third time can be charged with aggravated DWI.

The first time you were arrested, you may not have worried that much about the outcome. But your third DWI arrest is much more serious. Because the stakes are much higher, you need the best DWI defense lawyer you can get.

Experienced St. Louis DWI Defense Lawyer

Travis Noble has successfully represented numerous clients with prior DWI convictions and whose chances seemed slim based on high blood alcohol content and other factors. When you choose Mr. Noble to represent you, he will aggressively defend you at each stage of the legal process. This means not conceding any assertions by the prosecutor that can be challenged and demanding that the prosecutor prove every element of the state’s case. Travis Noble will fight for your rights and freedom at all times.

About Missouri Aggravated DWI/DUI Laws

Missouri Section 577.023 defines three types of DWI offenders that are subject to enhanced penalties:

  • Aggravated offender — Conviction for three or more intoxication-related traffic offenses, or conviction for one or more intoxication-related traffic offenses and vehicular homicide, vehicular assault or assault of a police officer.
  • Chronic offender — Conviction for four or more intoxication-related traffic offenses or a combination of two or more vehicular homicides, vehicular assaults or assaults on a police officer.
  • Persistent offender — Conviction for two or more intoxication-related traffic offenses and one or more vehicular homicides, vehicular assaults or assaults on a police officer.

Though the possible legal defenses are the same for a felony DWI as for a first-time DWI, the possibility of prison time, a 10-year license suspension and mandatory use of an ignition interlock means that you need to take your case seriously. Travis Noble, P.C., will work diligently to protect your rights and preserve your freedom.
