Man faces felony DWI after colliding with guardrail

A man is facing multiple criminal charges in central Missouri after the vehicle he was driving collided with a guardrail during the early morning hours of June 22. According to news reports, the 42-year-old driver has been taken into police custody and is being held at Callaway County Jail on $14,000 bond. Police allege that the driver resisted arrest and was under the influence of alcohol when the accident occurred.

Missouri car accident results in DWI charges for Chiefs player

Sean Smith, a cornerback for the Kansas City Chiefs, has been charged with DWI following a single-vehicle car accident in Kansas City. Smith was driving a vehicle around 12:30 a.m. June 9 in the vicinity of Grand Boulevard and 12th Street when police who were patrolling the area allegedly witnessed Smith attempt to make a left turn, lose control of his vehicle and strike a light pole at the intersection.

Missouri man detained for drugs after alleged car theft

A Missouri man is being held in the Schuyler County Jail after an alleged car theft, according to the Schuyler County Sheriff. The sheriff stated that Iowa police contacted him on June 3 alleging that a car sold to a Centerville scrap yard was the same vehicle that had been reported stolen in Lancaster the previous day. The man in question was detained after the sheriff obtained surveillance footage from the scrap yard.

Dina Lohan ordered to pay fines, perform community service

Some St. Louis residents may be interested to learn that 51-year-old Dina Lohan, the mother of actress Lindsay Lohan, has been ordered to pay more than $3,000 in fines after having pleaded guilty to aggravated DWI in April. Her license was suspended thereafter, and she will also be required to perform 100 hours of community service according to the terms the judge in her case decided upon. She will also need to install an ignition interlock device in her vehicle.
