Driver in custody for alleged DUI after four-car crash

According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, a four-car accident caused a stretch of Interstate 270 in Bridgeton to be shut down for several hours on the night of Dec. 17. A Ford Explorer was struck by a Grand Prix that had lost control and veered into the Explorer's lane a little before 11:45 p.m.

Man charged with drunk driving after fatal accident

A 49-year-old Missouri man received criminal charges after an accident that killed five people occurred in Hamilton County. According to police reports, the man is suspected of having been driving while intoxicated at the time of the fatal rollover accident.

Felony DUI charges for 26-year-old woman

On Aug. 9, 2013, a woman was involved in a wrong-way accident in Midtown. Police said that the 26-year-old motorist ran headfirst into an oncoming vehicle in a crash that killed the other driver. Authorities did not specify what could have caused the woman to get onto the I-64 motorway from the wrong direction, but initial reports said that the exit she entered from had visibly posted wrong-way signage. On Nov. 22, 2013, authorities announced that she had been officially indicted on criminal charges.
