Closing argument is your last opportunity to tell your story to the jury. Your entire case is your story versus the state's story. The jury is trying to decide which story they believe makes more sense. The story that is the closing argument should be starting to take shape during voir dire and throughout the trial. The highlights of your story should be the facts established during the trial that demonstrate your side being more plausible. Weave the exhibits that make your point into your story. Demonstrative aides and exhibits help to refresh the juries recollection of the evidence and refocus their attention.
